Consignment Services

Instruments placed on consignment must be evaluated for any repairs. All repairs shall be completed prior to placing them in the showroom and paid for at the time of signing consignment contract.

Keep in mind that instruments  priced higher than our average prices will not sell quickly. In this case lowering the price helps to sell the instrument faster. Besides, we cannot in good conscience charge more than what we feel an instrument is worth.

We take 20% of the selling price of all consignment items. For example, a violin selling for $1000 in our shop would get the buyer $800.  The consignment fee of $200 is only charged once the instrument sells.

The seller is responsible for the cost of any repairs or strings the instrument may require before being listed for sale.  Minimum consignment period is 90 days. if a buyer offers below asking price the seller has final approval.
